Beautiful building, nicely renovated to make a comfortable place to stay. The bar, coffee shop and communal working areas downstairs are buzzy so it feels welcoming and pleasant to come back to as a solo traveller, even if you don't use them. All staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Room was a good size and well kept, bed was super comfortable, generally I found noise levels inside the hotel just fine with barely anything audible from fellow guests. There was a little bit of noise from outside my room at night when bottles were being thrown away, but with windows closed it didn't bother me. Kitchen area small but well equipped generally. I liked that you can crack open the windows for fresh air - often not available in more modern buildings. Location was good for getting to Piccadilly and also basically the whole of central Manchester.

Practically perfect in every way! This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! From the location, to the friendliness of the staff, the quality of everything in the room - this is definitely the place to stay. The suite was so spacious - and it literally cost pennies more than a standard room. Don't think I've ever sat on such a huge sofa! Everything had a quality feel to it, crockery, cutlery, products in the bathroom, right down to the cocktail set and glasses. Lovely little extras, like a gift left on your door on Christmas Day. To the drinks vouchers given by the lovely Hannah, on check-in, when I mentioned that my day had all gone wrong. This truly is a hidden gem in central Manchester, and considering the location, it was incredibly quiet.

There were many hotels within walking distance from Manchester coach station, after looking at prices and reviews i decided Whitworth Locke was where I should stay. Having stayed in a different hotel in the surrounding area previously (because it was the cheapest available option) I was largely underwhelmed with that experience, so my expectations were fairly low. It was nice and easy to find and as I entered the front door at around 8pm there was loud music blasting possibly too loud as I couldn't really hear the receptionist. But beyond that, no gripes. Both the receptionists (that evening and following morning) were helpful and pleasant. The room was perfect for what I needed and it was incredibly clean and hygienic.

I was really impressed with my stay at Whitworth Locke. Check-in was easy and Amber was really helpful and welcoming and answered any questions I had. The hotel itself has a really nice feel to it, especially as you first enter where the bar/restaurant/cafe/reception areas are, so much light and greenery and ample seating options. The Studio room I had booked for my son and I was really spaceous and had everything you would need in a home away from home, I especially liked all the eco features and how everything was layed out. The beds were comfy and the room was really clean and well thought out. Definitely hoping to stay here again in the future.

Stayed here for 2 nights for the Oasis gigs and the hotel was perfect. Check in was super easy and the receptionists Alfie and Kieran (Apologies if I spelt wrong) were really helpful in assisting us of where to go for drinks and food. The hotel is really clean and good vibes all round. The room was extremely spacious and didn't know we had a cooker, washing machine, fridge and everything else, we didn't use these but decent if you want to. We will definitely look to stay again if in Manchester and we will look for the same chain of hotel elsewhere.
